Victoria CawdronFellow of The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW)

Valuation Director

Victoria is a Chartered Accountant having qualified in the audit department of PKF (now BDO).  Having enjoyed spells working abroad she moved into the firm’s corporate finance division and responsible for transaction support work from financial due diligence to accountant’s reports for IPOs.  During this time she developed a strong interest in the financial valuation of companies, authored chapters on the Takeover Code, specialised hotel accounting and started her formal valuations career with an introductory course for colleagues.

Keen to develop her own style Victoria joined Morley and Scott where she helped to rebuild the corporate finance function.  Morley and Scott later joined forces with Menzies, a top 20 firm, where she again focused on transaction support for a wide range of small and medium sized businesses.  During this time she gained the ICAEW’s CF qualification.

Taking the opportunity to advance her interest in business valuation Victoria joined Valuation Consulting in 2012.  The first thing she learned in VC was the importance of intangible assets and intellectual property to businesses large and small, despite this substantial value not typically being reflected in the balance sheet.  In 2015 she qualified as a Chartered Valuation Business and IP Surveyor (MRICS) 2015 and has a wide range of experience in valuations worldwide of a wide range of IP assets, businesses of all sizes and their shareholdings both in contentious and non-contentious matters.  A particular focus in recent years has been led by portfolio valuations for Private Equity and demand for IFRS 3 and FRS 102 purchase price allocations to IP and subsequent impairment review.
